Waverly Elementary School Gifted and Talented teacher Amy Cargiulo has been honored with The Maryland Financial Education and Capability Award for elementary school teachers. The award—offered through a partnership between the Maryland State Department of Education, the Maryland Council on Economic Education (MCEE), and the ​​CASH (Creating Assets, Savings, and Hope) Campaign of Maryland—recognizes teachers, individuals, and organizations who serve as leaders in financial education and are helping students to build financial skills and knowledge.
